Snohomish County Public Works is hiring a key Real Property Specialist II position for our Engineering Services Right-of-Way group. Join an expert team and become an integral part of Public Works infrastructure projects happening in your community! As a Real Property Specialist II, you will work to support and secure the acquisition of necessary real property rights for a variety of infrastructure projects including roadways, bridges, culverts, pedestrian facilities, fish enhancement, and wetland mitigation. This professional position offers close engagement and collaboration with the residents, other County departments, and multiple local, state, and federal agencies. The ideal candidate will have property acquisition experience and strong communication skills to both explain and navigate challenging situations. The ability to work and succeed as a member of a large team, and a productive individual contributor is essential. Continued development and leadership are both necessary and encouraged. This position will work full time in the office for up to one (1) year. After skills and knowledge build, we anticipate the position will work three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remote. Telework options are subject to change depending upon staff and management needs.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace, if allowed to telework, with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Snohomish County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. A Snohomish County Telework agreement is required for employees assigned to telework.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their Snohomish County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
