PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Full-Time | On-Site | Hourly

JOB SUMMARY :

The Production Support Specialist will perform administration duties as they relate to supporting the Maintenance and Quality departments within guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Airside MRO.

REPORTS TO :

The Production Support Specialist reports to the VP of Client / Vendor Relations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • None.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Performs regular maintenance on aircraft components
  • Assist in maintaining Airside MRO’s technical library for those items stored digitally on Airside’s cloud storage
  • Open / close work orders and draft final documentation and shipping instructions for customer components
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure the customer repair orders are complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with customers on obtaining the correct shipping instructions for their components
  • Assist in researching qualified vendors to repair items for which Airside MRO does not have capabilities
  • Draft repair orders for those items that require outside services
  • Follow up on any outstanding repair orders and provide status to the Director of Maintenance and VP of Operations
  • Provide support to the technicians and shipping department for any documentation needed to perform the respective duties
  • Maintain filing system of open / closed work orders per Airside MRO and FAA guidelines
  • Follow all Federal, Airside MRO, and OSHA regulations while performing daily functions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Requirements :

    REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and / or related software used to complete and maintain records
  • Typing proficiency of 30 WPM minimum
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
  • Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions
  • Ability to perform basic inspections and repairs
  • Ability to learn new software and become proficient in said software
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in the aviation industry / Part 145 MRO is a plus
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 20-30 pounds at a time
