Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults (general hematology / oncology) Patient Volume / Census : TBD Admissions : Yes Rounding : Yes (inpatient cancer floor) Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Hematology and oncology patients across full spectrum No. of Beds in Department : 420-bed hospital; 21 infusion rooms; dedicated inpatient oncology floors Trauma Level : Level 2 Office Equipment Available : Radiation therapy and infusion center onsite; certified oncology nurses; onsite fitness facility Specialty Backup Available : Radiation Oncology, hospitalist support, radiology, pain management, neurosurgery Support Staff Available : 3 board-certified Hem / Onc physicians, certified oncology nurses, multidisciplinary cancer team Reason for Coverage : Practice expansion Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Rate : Highly competitive compensation package with productivity bonus Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Paid malpractice with tail; paid interview expenses Additional Benefits : $100k signing bonus, health / dental / disability / life insurance, CME / licensure allowance, student loan repayment Outpatient chemotherapy management Inpatient consults and co-management Hematologic evaluations and treatments Licenses : Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama Certifications : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology / Oncology Experience : Fellowship trained in Hem / Onc Other Qualifications : Team-oriented, able to work in collaborative environment; PSLF eligible Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in a hospital-based cancer center Participate in shared 1 : 4 call rotation Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care team Engage in both inpatient and outpatient care delivery Participate in teaching and academic opportunities through affiliation with ACOM
