Position Overview
We are looking for a Metrology Technician to provide technical support to analytical laboratory operations within a GMP-regulated environment. This role is key in maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of laboratory instrumentation used for pharmaceutical testing. The position focuses on calibration, verification, and documentation activities that align with FDA, GMP, USP, and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform calibration, verification, and preventive maintenance of analytical laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, balances, spectrophotometers, temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices.
Maintain accurate calibration schedules, records, and traceability documentation for all instruments.
Execute calibration activities following established SOPs and regulatory requirements (GMP, USP, ISO).
Support investigations related to out-of-tolerance instruments, deviations, and equipment failures.
Assist in the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in audit preparation and provide technical support during internal or external inspections.
Manage calibration inventory and ensure data integrity in calibration management systems.
Collaborate with quality, metrology, and laboratory teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
1 3 years of hands-on calibration or metrology experience in a GMP or pharmaceutical analytical laboratory setting.
Strong understanding of metrology principles, including temperature, pressure, flow, and mass measurement.
Experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV / Vis spectrophotometers, and balances.
Familiarity with CAPA systems, deviation management, and quality documentation practices.
Knowledge of FDA and cGMP regulations related to equipment calibration and laboratory compliance.
Excellent organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and maintain calibration accuracy under minimal supervision.
