Supplier Enablement And Governance Lead
The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) Controls team is responsible for implementing the systems, processes, and guidelines that enable our construction projects to succeed on time and on budget. This includes the strategic engagement and management of suppliers and a vast extended workforce. The Supplier Enablement and Governance is tasked with managing one of Alphabet's largest extended workforce populations and oversees the full supplier lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. Its primary focus areas are ensuring commercial management, streamlining contracting processes, guaranteeing supplier compliance, and proactively mitigating co-employment risks. In this role, you will be managing the full supplier lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding. You will emphasize commercial management, contractual and supplier compliance, and co-employment mitigation. The REWS and Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team oversees one of Alphabet's largest extended workforces, representing a financial exposure. Your role involves leading a team of program managers to develop, execute, and refine processes for efficient supplier activation and governance. You will perform cross-functional collaboration and will possess strong commercial insight, serving as the primary point of contact to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and maximize value from supplier relationships.
Minimum qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12 years of experience in supply chain and hardware manufacturing, including experience with the ecosystem and its suppliers.
- 10 years of experience in full lifecycle procurement, supplier management, vendor management and sourcing.
- 5 years of experience in people management.
- Experience managing an end-to-end supplier lifecycle process (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Source-to-Pay, Contract Administration, Supplier Provisioning).
Preferred qualifications :
MBA or Master's degree in a related field.Experience managing operations with significant financial oversight within a global technology company.Experience in negotiating and managing commercial contracts with strategic global suppliers with understanding of contract process and the local jurisdiction requirements globally.Understanding of extended workforce programs and the associated risks and operational complexities.Ability to influence and align executive stakeholders, including Director and VP-level executives, across large organizations.Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that create measurable business value.Responsibilities :
Lead a team managing the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from onboarding and contracting through Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and offboarding.Drive strategic commercial management by supporting negotiations, analyzing pricing models, and ensuring rigorous invoice validation to prevent financial leakage.Establish and enforce a supplier governance framework, overseeing policy, risk, compliance, and performance management to protect company interests.Act as the central point-of-contact, building and influencing strong partnerships with executive stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Procurement, and key business units to ensure seamless and compliant operations.
