Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Image Operations Specialist to support the end-to-end operational workflow of image acquisition, processing, management, and delivery of digital pathology and radiology images. This role is critical to ensure that imaging workflows operate seamlessly and that high-quality image data is available to scientists, pathologists, radiologists, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring experience in image management systems, digital pathology and radiology imaging workflows, and operational excellence in high-throughput environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Image Acquisition & QC
  • Coordinate the ingestion of pathology slides into digital image platforms and cloud storage buckets
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards for image resolution, focus, and metadata comprehensiveness using manual and automated tools
  • Review and validate image sets for completeness, track image availability across programs
  • Maintain proper organization and storage of large-scale image datasets for accessibility and compliance
  • Data & Image Management
  • Ensure secure handling, storage, and retrieval of large pathology and radiology image datasets
  • Troubleshoot data transfer issues, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Execute basic scripts (eg Python, PowerShell) to automate repetitive tasks such as image transfers, batch processing, and metadata management
  • Implement and monitor automation pipelines to ensure smooth and timely data movement across systems
  • Assist in preparing and transferring datasets for research, analysis, or AI / ML model training
  • Partner with CROs to resolve gaps in data quality or missing images.
  • Collaboration & Documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pathology, research, IT operations, and external vendors
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on workflows and tools
  • Develop documentation of workflows, processes, and technical procedures with clarity
  • Implement KPIs / quality metrics to track and monitor progress
  • Proactively identify gaps and recommend improvements
  • Experience / Education
  • Familiarity with whole slide imaging formats (eg, .svs, .tif, .mrxs) and imaging QC criteria
  • Proficient in using databases and cloud solutions (SQL, S3, AWS glacier)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reconciliation workflows
  • Detail oriented, ability to understand and work with complex metadata and manifest structures.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • BA / BS in life sciences, medical technology, biomedical engineering, data sciences, or a related field. 3+ years of directly related experience.
  • Experience in digital pathology operations, clinical imaging, or biomedical data management.
  • Very high attention to detail is required for success in this position.
