About The Position

Gastroenterology Locums, South Carolina - Inpatient Only

This Gastroenterology locums assignment near Florence, South Carolina, offers inpatient-only coverage, block scheduling, and no ERCP requirements.

Highlights

  • Block scheduling; pick 1-2 weeks per month
  • No ERCP or moderate sedation required
  • APP support Monday-Friday

Practice Setting

  • Inpatient-only coverage at a regional hospital
  • No clinic or outpatient responsibilities
  • APP assists with weekday rounding and consults
  • Weekend procedures performed in the OR if neede

    • Schedule

  • 24-hour call with onsite daytime coverage
  • Rounding, consults, and procedures ~8-10 hours daily
  • Lighter consult volume on weekends
  • Assignment blocks open into late 2025

    • Cases and Procedures

  • Focus on inpatient GI scopes and emergent procedures
  • ~15-20 new consults per day plus inpatient scopes
  • No ERCP required

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Active South Carolina license (open to physicians seeking one)
  • BLS and DEA required

    • Travel Accommodations

  • Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage provided
