The role includes managing a high volume of cases with support from an intensivist and advanced practice providers. The position is part of a collaborative group of cardiothoracic surgeons and interventional cardiologists.

• Duration : October - June (per your availability, potential for extension)
• Location : 45 minutes south of Sacramento, CA
• Schedule : 7-14 shifts per month (not able to consider weekends only)
• Shift : 7a-7a (pager taken from hotel)
• Scope : Vascular surgery OR Cardiothoracic ED call (option to take vascular call as well if able)
• Currently being performed within the group : Cardio, thoracic, peripheral vascular, minimally invasive, amputations shared with orthopedic surgeon, CABG, Carotid, AAA, Fem Pop, NO TAVR (cases assigned per your current case logs)
• Volume : 70-80 cases per month (total for the group)
• EMR : Cerner
• Group : 2 other cardiothoracic / vascular surgeons
• Support : Intensivist on 24 / 7 and take first call, 1 : 4 physician to APP ratio (PAs first assist and round, NPs round, NP in office), 25 interventional cardiologists
• Hospital : Level I trauma center, 350 beds
• Required : Board certification with California license
