Position Specific Description

Palms Insurance is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc., and manages both its Alien captive, Palms Cayman (which focuses on providing NextEra flexible and comprehensive insurance) and non-affiliate insurance entity Palms Specialty (a fast-growing specialty surplus lines insurer and reinsurer serving to further diversify NextEras overall insurance portfolio and contribute to overall profitability).

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry to support strategic system implementation initiatives and ongoing business improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and defining business requirements, creating process flows, writing UAT user stories, and delivering detailed business process documentation. This role requires both a structured thinker and a hands?on executor who can work across departments to drive clarity, alignment, and actionable outcomes by bridging the gap between business and technology functions.

1. System Implementations

• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for system changes or new implementations.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for UAT and development teams.
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, including test case creation, execution coordination, and issue resolution.
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and align deliverables with business objectives.
• Assist with data conversion tasks, including mapping legacy data to the new system, identifying data gaps or inconsistencies, and supporting validation activities.
