Quality Control Inspector

Summary :

This full-time position verifies the Quality of inputs going into the production area, during production, and outgoing items meet specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

Inspects materials and products, for conformance to specifications, using fixed or preset measuring instruments (fixtures, gauges, and guides).

Read and interpret precision machining drawings and basic GD&T

Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance.

Inspect outgoing work orders per customer requirements.

Verify materials per MTR and drawings.

Construct customer databooks.

Track measurement and test equipment for calibration.

Incorporate safety into the working place.

Qualifications :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Education / Experience :

2+ years related experience in testing and measurement devices and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Any experience with instrumentation, machining, welding, document control, electrical, or ISO 9001 is a plus.

Language Ability :

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers.

Math Ability :

Ability to apply concepts such as basic trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

Work Environment :

May be required to lift up to 50lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and climate controlled.

Work Schedule : 7 : 30 am – 4 : 30 pm (M-F)

Salary Range : $23 to $28 per hour
