Must-Have :

• Strong, independent experienced nurses to float between multiple ICUs
• Ability to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse if ICU needs are low.

Description :

Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Client, Medicine, and COVID.

Will float to inpatient floors when needed, with a ratio of no more than 1 : 3.

May also be asked to serve as a patient sitter if necessary.

Every other weekend is required.

Patient ratios in ICUs are 2 : 1 for all shifts.

Does not require specific CVICU experience.

Preferred cardiac skill set includes hemodynamic interpretation and management of vasoactive drips.

Experience with virtual tools, CRRT, and telemetry is required.

Chemo certification and CCRN, NIH, ONS, or TNCC are preferred.

Additional skills required include IV insertion, care of ventilated patients, and conscious sedation.

Triage, ICP, and PA line monitoring are preferred experiences but not mandatory.

Adolescents are rare but may be 16-18 years old and of adult size / weight.

Floating to non-critical care units may occur if census is low in ICU.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.

All travelers will float within service lines as necessary.
