\nThe Certified Surgical Technician, under the direction of the Operating Room Manager, is responsible for organizing services related to a specific or group of surgical specialty(ies) to ensure quality patient care, efficient and cost effective service, providing a focal point for information related to that service to ensure that staff and physicians have needed information; ensuring / providing continuity of care for all aspects of the perioperative period; and, managing all aspects of care to ensure that quality is assured, i.e. equipment availability; equipment functionality.
