Horticulture Inventory And Fulfillment Manager

The Lansing Facility is seeking a Horticulture Inventory and Fulfillment Manager who will manage the horticulture inventory and fulfillment processes from part setup and customer forecast receipt through shipping in order to provide the optimum availability of products for our customers while minimizing shortages. Ensure inventory accuracy for all product lines. Maintain standard product costs and processes. Manage the inventory cycle counting program and the yearly physical inventory.

Supervises the Business Analyst and Upper Deck Supervisor.

Maintains standard product cost and provides reports on cost variance.

Works with Business Analyst to set part policies.

Works with Sales to facilitate customer fulfillment programs.

Facilitates the annual discontinued part dump and move of inventory to maximize shelf space.

Prepares inventory valuation reports.

Maintains adequate levels of products.

Prepares inventory history reports for management as required.

Maintains the item / parts database.

Maintains inventory turns by product lines and makes recommendations.

Works with Plant Inventory Manager and executes the physical inventory.

Prepares analysis and recommendation on appropriate inventory reserve provisions.

Manages inventory with accuracy.

Maintains shop calendar in the MM Database.

Provides limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review or feedback of assigned tasks.

Supervises department projects through the planning and scheduling of work and the review or approval of tasks.

Provides timely and accurate performance reviews.

Manages the selection, training, development, and appraisal of personnel.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Must have intermediate computer skills (email, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.).

Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, managers, and other employees of the organization.

Must be able to respond to common complaints and inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other members of the business community.

Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Must have the ability to perform complex to advanced arithmetic such as, but limited to regression, cash flow analysis, present valuation, and statistical analysis.
