Job Description – Construction Engineer – Western Massachusetts

This is a highly unique opportunity to be on the front line of the evolving construction planning and project controls industry, working on major contracts with a diversified client field of established construction firms. This person will join our team with 1-5 years of engineering / construction experience, and a bachelor's degree in an engineering field is a plus. The role involves providing construction project management support services to our clients on multiple heavy civil (bridge, highway, utility) and commercial construction projects. Services are project-by-project, exposing the candidate to multiple services and experiences.

It is expected that this person will be trained by our senior staff and will take on more challenging projects over time. The company has a strong "promote from within" sentiment and expects growth in experience and position. This position offers a stable living location in the Western Massachusetts area, working out of our Agawam, MA office location, with occasional travel throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New England as our footprint increases.

The Construction Engineer Role Involves The Following Core Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret contract plans and blueprints
• Ability to interpret and understand contract specifications and project constraints
• Ability to learn and comprehend construction processes and sequences
• Ability to lead a discussion in a group setting
• Detail oriented, able to self-administer QA / QC practices
• Solid technical writing ability
• Self starter and self manager, efficient with their time
• Degree in Civil Engineering and / or Construction Management a plus
