VHS is looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology.

Description : Specialty : Cardiac NP

Start Date : 2 / 2 / 26

Contract Length : ongoing until a perm is found

Shift Details : Monday – Friday - 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Schedule : 50 / 50 outpatient and inpatient coverage

Work Details :

  • Support staff : MD’s and APP Providers
  • Amount of coverage needed per month : Full-time coverage
  • Patients per day : 10-13 for inpatient coverage 9-13 for outpatient coverage
  • Inpatient responsibilities Shady Grove Medical Center :

    Carry a caseload of 10-13 patients

    Provide consults subsequent visits develop discharge plans work closely with the general cardiologist on call and the other nurse practitioner

    Outpatient responsibilities Rockville and Germantown clinics :

    Nuclear stress testing 9-13 patients / day

    Outpatients follow up visits visits are 30 minutes in length

    Prescription refills

    Review testing results and correspond accordingly with patients

  • Minimum experience required : 2 years
  • Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90days

  • 1099 Pay Rate : Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request)
