Underlined and Bolded : Valid State RN License \nCertifications Required : BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) \n\n\n
What you bring : \n \n
Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience , with a preference for Level 3-4 unit experience\nProven ability to titrate ongoing drips such as antibiotics, multivitamins, iron, surfactant, TPN, and epi\nStrong knowledge of neonatal conditions including RDS, SGA, prematurity, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, and care for infants 23 weeks and older\nExperience attending deliveries under 36 weeks, assisting with APGAR assessments, and managing complex neonatal needs\nAdaptability to work in a fast-paced, open-concept NICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2-3, including stable and critically ill infants\nAbility to read and interpret telemetry strips (helpful but not mandatory)\nExcellent team communication, positive attitude, engaged patient-family-centered care mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment\n\n\n

Educational Background : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required\nExperience : Prior NICU experience at Level III or higher is strongly preferred; familiarity with EPIC charting system and advanced neonatal interventions is a plus\n\n\n
Responsibilities : \n \n
Provide expert nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU, utilizing the EPIC charting system and available neonatology resources\nAttend deliveries under 36 weeks gestation, assisting with APGAR scoring and immediate newborn stabilization\nManage and titrate a variety of drips and medications, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols\nMonitor neonatal vital signs and telemetry data, interpreting strips as needed\nCollaborate with neonatologists, NNPs, and the healthcare team to deliver family-centered, evidence-based care\nDocument accurately and timely in the patient records, including unit notes and charting requirements\nParticipate in unit orientation and ongoing education to maintain high-quality care standards\n\n\n

RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted upfront for 7 days or less within the 13-week contract. No additional RTO approval for requests outside this window\nMust reside within 50 miles of the facility and may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facilities of CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity Health\nWill be required to float to the Newborn nursery and pediatric units as assigned to support staffing needs\n\n\n
