PRN Medical Assistant (Flexible Schedule – Thursdays Needed)

Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY
Employment Type: W-2, Part-Time / PRN
Compensation: $17.00 – $17.15 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and professional PRN Medical Assistant to support our growing
outpatient practice. This is a flexible position ideal for a candidate with strong clinical skills
and dependable availability. Thursday coverage is currently most needed, with
opportunities for additional shifts as the practice expands.
The ideal candidate is confident in phlebotomy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working
closely with providers and the clinical supervisor in a collaborative, patient-centered
environment.

Primary Responsibilities
• Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for courier pickup
• Room and prepare patients for exams
• Record vital signs and assist providers as needed
• Support daily clinic setup, room turnover, and supply organization
• Maintain infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and Providers to ensure smooth patient flow and
high-quality care

Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience required
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced setting
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Schedule & Hours
• Flexible schedule; as needed for coverage
• Thursdays strongly preferred at this time
• Additional hours may be offered based on clinic volume or staff coverage needs
