Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

• Conducts safety inspection at the beginning of the shift.
• On checklist record meter reading at beginning of a shift, mechanical condition, noting any physical or mechanical problems.
• Maintain paperwork on the amount of tonnage hauled each day.
• Notify Mobile maintenance of any physical or mechanical problems.
• At the end of the shift, record the ending meter reading, sign the checklist, and turn it in to the shift supervisor.
• Visually look on all sides of the equipment to verify clearance from obstacles or other vehicles prior to moving any equipment.
• With the use of an Articulated Haul Truck, haul raw materials such as Sulfate of Potash and Salt to stockpiles for processing.
• Complete a daily load sheet by writing down how much each load was to deliver to the stockpiles and at what times.
• This load sheet will be turned in to the supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Individuals will be reassigned to a pond crew during harvest shutdowns.
• Assignments and accountability will be under the direction of the pond supervisor.
• Must be willing to perform other duties outside of driving such as; shoveling, checking grade, and occasionally running other equipment such as a Cat 980, Pan Scraper, Loader, Dozer, Blade, etc.
• Ability to work rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends and / or holidays as required.
