Mortgage Servicing Collections Specialist

Plano, TX – Must be local to Plano, TX

MUST HAVE : Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage collections / servicing.

MUST HAVE : Collection system experience with building / maintaining calling queues, workflows, and tasks.

MUST HAVE : Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word experience recommended and preferred for report summaries or ad-hoc requests.

Salary : Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Sunflower Bank is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Mortgage Servicing Collections Specialist at our Plano, TX location. The Mortgage Servicing Collections Specialist assists Guardian Mortgage clients who are behind on payments to avoid or overcome delinquency. Through an assortment of collections calls and correspondence, Collections Processors advise clients of potential or existing delinquency, work toward solutions and prepare reports in a timely, accurate, compliant and professional manner.

• Meet performance expectations for collection efforts for assigned accounts based upon individual goals and objectives
• Place or receive calls in priority per calling queues.
• Determine cause of delinquency and best course of action to assist delinquent customer, including initiating extensions, forbearance and repayment plans, and referrals to Loss Mitigation.
• Document all collection efforts for each assigned account in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure that all delinquent accounts and assigned queues have been thoroughly worked according to standardized collection procedures.
• Ensure that appropriate letters are sent to debtors..
• Process account maintenance transactions according to established guidelines.
• Evaluates and helps determine the borrower’s ability to pay, and collects appropriate financial information in a courteous and professional manner, striving for first-call resolution and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
