Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : August 26, 2024

End Date : November 25, 2024

Unit : 4 South – Med / Surg Telemetry Unit

Shift : 3x12 hour day shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990 - $2130 per week

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience required

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to start by August 26, 2024

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care

Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
