VP, Core Java Back-End Engineer (Equities Technology)

Job Description

The equity front office development role requires an experienced senior engineer / architecture, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance systems. The successful candidate will be part of a global team working on our GETS platform for the growing equity business. The ideal candidate would demonstrate a passion for software development and be familiar with the recent trends in technology. We're looking for a person who works well on a team but is capable of independently accomplishing tasks of significant scope and complexity. Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work quickly and effectively under time pressure are expected.

Responsibilities include :

• Front office trading technology development for Equity Trading
• Working actively on implementing equity-based order life cycle including trading, booking and allocation
• Designing and supporting messaging frameworks like Kafka and Quick FIX
• Engaging with trading teams and quants to gather requirement and assist with development and support of equity business related solutions
• The ability to work and communicate well with the regional / global team including business users on daily basis
• Partnering with L1 / L2 teams for day-to-day support of applications

Skills required :

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $200,000 - $250,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
