Job Description
US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Fleet Mechanic to support operations at the Asphalt plant located Clinton, MD. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment. Responsible for keeping the equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; performing repairs when needed. This position typically works from 7 : 00pm- 7 : 00am Sunday thru Thursday. Generally the first 90 days of employment the selected candidate will be working morning shift.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Perform general overhaul, tune up and repair work on automobiles and related power driven equipment.
- Inspect, adjust and replace necessary units and parts including cooling, fuel and exhaust components.
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- May fabricate and modify parts and equipment.
- Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components.
- Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment.
- Provide routine inspections of vehicles
- Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
- Maintain and clean all garage equipment and tools to ensure equipment is kept in useable condition at all times.
- Adhere to company work safety policies

Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Field of Study : N / A. Required Work Experience : A valid Class A CDL (Tankers Endorsement preferred). Experience in operating heavy equipment, including but not limited to skid steers, loaders, excavators, and backhoes. Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on equipment. Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and varying weather.
