Full Stack Developer - Intl Costa Rica (Morrisville)

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer on an AI-focused team, you will architect and build scalable applications using TypeScript, React, Python, and Django. You will split your time evenly between front-end and back-end development. Youll be responsible for modernizing and maintaining legacy systems while also contributing to new product initiatives. You will design and implement AI-powered features using tools like OpenAI, Azure AI, and vector embeddings. Collaboration with product managers, designers, and data scientists will be a regular part of your workflow. Youll mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices across the team. You will also participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions

Background in financial services, retail, or marketing industries

Hands-on experience with AI projects, such as prototyping AI API interactions or building intelligent user experiences

Active GitHub profile showcasing personal or open-source projects

Experience working in agile environments and contributing to product-driven development

10+ years of professional software development experience

Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Python

Strong experience with Docker and SQL (Postgres)

Familiarity with Django and scalable backend architecture

Experience with AI / ML technologies, including embedding models and API integrations

Solid understanding of functional programming principles

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Proactive and independent problem-solving mindset

Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Passion for clean code, continuous learning, and emerging technologies

Ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate
