Chemical Engineering Manager

Company in Maryville, Tennessee is seeking a highly experienced and highly skilled Chemical Engineering Manager!

Salary : $100,000-$110,00 depending on experience Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K  APPLY NOW!

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following :

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the Engineering Department

Responsible for overseeing and managing all engineering activities within the organization.

Leading a team of engineers, coordinating projects, and ensuring the successful execution of engineering initiatives.

Managing engineering issues that arise in projects and products by providing technical guidance, proposing timelines and budgets for projects, training employees, and partnering with various departments.

Manage engineering staff, schedules, and performance

Prepare and control department budget and forecast operating costs of the department

Communicate effectively with customers, vendors and internal team members via meetings and reporting documents

Identify and initiate process changes to increase efficiency

Collaborate with cross-functional team members on continuous improvement initiatives

Hire and retain engineering staff through effective vetting of applicants and continuous engagement of employees

Train engineering personnel on procedures and specifications

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and objectives

Lead and manage engineering and maintenance personnel

Other tasks may be assigned as necessary

REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.

Knowledge of Thixotropic materials with a good understanding of viscosities.

Understanding of machinery including but not limited to the Press Brake, Water Jet, Plasma machine is a plus.

3 years of previous experience testing and troubleshooting chemical engineering designs, material requisitions.

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor is a plus.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required

High attention to detail is required

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 Per Year
