We have a new opportunity for a full-time Health Center Coordinator! This position is Full-Time, Mon-Fri, from 8 : 30a-5pm.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education / Training / Certifications : High School Diploma / GED required; Diploma / Bachelors degree highly preferred;
  • Skill(s) : Listening, verbal, writing and visual skills, strong computer competencies; Time management.

    Experience : Two to three years experience in customer service; two to three years experience in administration in a health care facility preferred.

    General Responsibilities

    Responsible for healthcare center staffing, and general clerical support in the operation of the Health Center. Managing the Accounts Payable process for the health center.

    1. Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, which is : Through the power of the Holy Spirit, and in response to God’s love as revealed in the Gospel, the mission of the Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is to serve those in New Jersey who hurt, are in need, or have limited choices.

    2. Schedule nursing staff on a daily and monthly basis through the use of facility and agency staff, following PPD standards set by administration.

    3. Obtain authorization from DON or Administrator for any agency staff

    4. Assist HR by ensuring scheduling system is current for quarterly PBJ reporting

    5. Maintain NJ state staffing database on a daily basis

    6. Audit invoices for accuracy and delineate areas in which supplies, equipment and staffing was utilized.

    7. Assures work area is clean and equipment, supplies, etc are properly stored before leaving such area.

    8. Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner.

    9. Assist with the facilitation of employee procedures and communication (i.e. distribution of black keys, paychecks, photo ID)

    10. Responsible for physician credentialing for Health Center

    11. Completes, organizes and maintains the infection surveillance database and records (Staff immunizations and outbreak data) for Health Center.

    12. Assists in the preparing reports and statistical data for organizational leadership and other committees as needed

    13. Collaborate with the ICPO to maintain accurate records for compliance of the Exposure Control Plan and Infection Control Practices of the facility utilizing the national standards / guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Association for Professionals Infection Control (APIC), CMS and the NJ department of Health.

    14. Enter data for the national collaborative and external reporting to CDC NHSN system, and other post-acute care specific quality organizations.

    15. Participates in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee, serving as the note taker and preparing reports.

    16. Ensure hard copy in-service records on all employees are completed and provided to HR

    17. Ensure all appropriate records pertaining to each individual’s orientation, skills, competencies, etc are completed and provided to HR

    18. Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the LSMNJ Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of duties.

    19. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.

    20. Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position.

    21. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.

    22. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, necessary for the efficient operation of the department / facility.
