About the Role

Our construction client is looking for a hands-on, experienced Senior Cost Accountant to lead accounting and administrative functions for our construction operations. In this role, youll ensure accuracy across project accounting, lead a dedicated accounting team, and work closely with leadership including the President, Project Managers, Estimators, and Corporate Finance.

What Youll Do

• Supervise and support one project accountant
• Manage all aspects of project accounting : requisitions, forecasting (CTC / WIP), over / under billings, and project cash tracking
• Oversee subcontractor billing compliance and invoice processing
• Lead regional cash collection and forecasting
• Prepare monthly P&L forecasts, finalize WIP, and present financials to leadership
• Monitor SG&A expenses and align spending with budgets
• Track backlog, identify CapEx needs, and oversee warehouse / equipment / inventory accounting
• Act as liaison between Risk Management and project teams
• Ensure smooth communication between division and Corporate Accounting
