Job Location : Staunton, IL

Position Type : Full Time (80 Hours)

Salary Range : $16.00 - $24.75 Hourly

Job Description

Job Summary (Full Time Position) : Responsible for placing weekly orders, performs various purchasing and procurement functions. Additionally, shares and at times fully covers responsibilities of the Receiving position which includes receiving and delivering supplies and equipment for all areas of the hospital, including other campus buildings. Dispensing and tracking of all supplies from warehouse. Accesses all purchase orders in the computer and documents receipts. Maintain Kanban inventories in associated departments. Coordinates and works with outsourced Biomed Services Vendor to maintain the Medical Equipment Biomed Program.

Job Summary (Part Time Position) : Responsible for receiving and delivering supplies and equipment for all areas of the hospital including other campus buildings. Dispensing and tracking of supplies from warehouse. Accesses all purchase orders in the Meditech system and documents receipts. Maintains receiving and dock areas. Maintains Disaster Inventory and systems. Shares and at times covers responsibilities of the full time position.

Job Responsibilities (Full Time Position) :

  • Places purchase orders by phone, fax, internet or email.
  • Checks on existing orders, release dates and shipping dates. Researches backorders and works with Materials Manager for substitute products.
  • Responsible for running the Materials Management Department when the Manager is out of the office.
  • Works to resolve accounting discrepancies by researching and making appropriate corrections and interacting with Accounts Payable.
  • Maintains M / M Meditech system at Materials Management Manager's direction.
  • Filing and managing Receiving / Packing list paperwork.
  • Performs duties and shares responsibilities related to receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment including receiving incoming freight, checking appropriate address and any damage. Checks packing slips and matches to items received, noting discrepancies. Completes receiving reports.
  • Fills and disperses department orders from the warehouse utilizing the inventory management system and maintains Kanban system in associated departments.
  • Delivers supplies promptly to appropriate areas.
  • Maintains and updates product outdate program.
  • Coordinates and works with outsourced Biomed Services Vendor to maintain the Medical Equipment Biomed Program which includes maintaining and coordinating the CHS Biomed Services Requests online system.
  • Attends EOC meetings to report Biomed Equipment status.
  • Includes packaging and shipping Fed Ex and UPS items as needed.
  • Keeps warehouse and receiving area clean and equipment secure, including transporting trash and cardboard to appropriate areas. Secures equipment and supplies at end of shift.
  • Helps to complete tasks in the Materials Management Department that are not within the job description. Renders self available when responsibilities have been met to assist in areas that may require assistance within Materials Management.

Job Responsibilities (Part Time Position) :

  • Performs duties related to receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment according to policies and procedures, including receiving incoming freight, checking appropriate addresses and checking for damage. Checks packing slips and matches to items received, noting discrepancies. Completes Meditech receiving reports.
  • Forwards completed PO's and Receiving reports to Purchasing noting any problems.
  • Prints charge labels and labels all chargeable items individually.
  • Fills and disperses department orders from the warehouse utilizing the inventory management system.
  • Delivers supplies promptly to appropriate areas.
  • Includes packaging and shipping FedEx and UPS items as needed.
  • Keeps warehouse and receiving area clean and equipment secure. Transports trash and cardboard to appropriate areas for disposal or recycling.
  • Maintains and updates the online Disaster Inventory System with inventory totals and expirations dates. Attends all education and training to maintain the system. Attends CHS Disaster meetings.
  • Assists Purchasing with orders and completes purchasing tasks as needed.
  • Maintains Kanban Inventory at Community Clinic of Staunton.
  • Fills in and covers full time position and duties as needed.
  • Helps to complete tasks in the Materials Management Department that are not within the job description. Renders self available when responsibilities have been met to assist in areas that may require assistance within Materials Management.
  • Qualifications

    Education Requirements and Other Requirements :

    Education Level : High School diploma or equivalent. Certification / Licensure : n / a

    Experience Requirements : Previous experience in Purchasing / Receiving preferred. Ability to read and follow directions. Basic math abilities required. Basic knowledge of computers. Must have good communication skills. Must be able to organize and prioritize work.
