Job description

Primary Talent Partners has a new 12-month contract for a Packaging Engineer with our great medical device client in Memphis, TN.

Pay : $55.00 / hr - $60.00 / hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Top 4 Requirements :

  • CREO drawing software experience
  • Sterile Packaging / Medical Device Packaging development
  • Project Management skills - including MS Project timelines and design history file management (file organization)
  • Strong Quality, Documentation, and Reporting skills

Education Required :

  • Bachelor of Science in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering

    • Experience Required :

  • Internship experience required (2 to 7 years preferred)

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure compliance with EU MDR Guidelines and recommend remediation steps as needed
  • Update existing files to meet state-of-the-art documentation expectations
  • Design, develop, and test a variety of containers for product protection, display, and handling
  • Determine packaging specifications based on product nature, cost, legal requirements, and protection needs
  • Account for external factors like moisture, chemicals, temperature changes, handling, and tampering
  • Design package exteriors with a focus on product identification, OR workflow, aesthetics, printing, and production techniques
  • Manage documentation and coordinate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Support prototype line development in manufacturing facilities / plants
