Bakery Materials Buyer

Bakery materials buyer stands at the forefront of the 85C supply chain; and is individually accountable for developing, sustaining and guaranteeing an uninterrupted flow of raw ingredients. This position also needs to manage all the inbound overseas containers. And this position contributes to overall profitability by supervising market fluctuation, tracking purchase activities, and obtaining the best price value available on all purchase contracts, domestically and overseas.

Qualifications

Required skills and abilities include :

• Effective and professional communication (verbal and written) skill, with emphasis on consensus building.
• Strong familiarity with 85C products and operational needs, functions and objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential needs.
• Ability to work at an elevated pace with precision and efficiency, in a high-pressure environment.
• Basic understanding of the food supply chain process, from supplies to end users.
• Demonstrated knowledge of bakery / food industry purchasing.
• Highest level of ethical conduct and professionalism.

Job duties include :

This position requires general office work with light physical duty, work indoors and are protected from weather and / or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional standing and walking.
