Description

The Engineering Intern will learn engineering tasks working in collaboration with the design team to complement the academic knowledge gained during their course of study.  The Engineering Intern will perform routine quality engineering tasks using standard procedures under supervision by a Project Engineer.

Duties Include :

• Working in collaboration with the design team to assist in preparation of technical reports, analysis / calculations, and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other parties associated with the project.
• Periodic travel to perform site investigations and construction observation.
• Review of specifications and shop drawings, field observations, preparation of inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks.
• Collaboration with other departments within CPH such as Survey, Architecture, MEP, Structural, Landscape Architecture, and Environmental to assist with project completion.
• Research, interpretation, and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
• Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.
