Associate Autonomy Researcher at University of Dayton Research Institute
Position Summary : This position will be responsible for working, as part of a diverse and skilled technical team, to write and test software in high level languages, and to develop and test signal processing algorithms from concept to implementation. Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field
- Familiarity with the language P
- Demonstrated familiarity with optimization and applications to modeling and simulation
- Demonstrated work involving autonomy architecture implementation and documentation
- Demonstrated familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
- Due to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer ScienceDemonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) programming in algorithm level languages such as Matlab / Simulink, Python, C# or similarDemonstrated experience performing research and technical work supporting DoD customers, including but not limited to AFRLResearch involving parallel distributed autonomy applicationsExperience with using Linux shell scripting (bash, dash, ksh, etc.)Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skillsSeniority level
