💼 About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Application Testing Specialist to support, enhance, and modernize the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring stability, compliance, performance, and modernization of critical child welfare systems used statewide.
This role involves application maintenance, modernization, testing, integration support, DevOps collaboration, and stakeholder engagement across legacy and modern platforms.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1. Web Application Maintenance & Support
- Provide day-to-day support for CCWIS modules, resolving incidents, break / fix issues, and performance concerns.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective / preventive actions.
- Monitor logs, performance metrics, and user feedback.
- Ensure compliance with federal / state CCWIS standards and data governance.
2. Application Modernization & Enhancement
Assess and modernize legacy applications using modern web technologies.Re-engineer components for scalability, maintainability, and improved UX.Support migration toward cloud-based or service-oriented architectures.Lead adoption of CI / CD, automation, and DevOps best practices.3. Technical Design & Development
Develop features, enhancements, integrations, and APIs.Refactor outdated code to meet security and performance standards.Work with DB teams to optimize data models, queries, and ETL workflows.4. Systems Integration & Interoperability
Support data exchange with external agencies and partners.Troubleshoot and optimize REST APIs, authentication, and integrations.Maintain integration documentation to ensure CCWIS modularity compliance.5. Quality Assurance & Testing
Develop unit, integration, regression, and automated test scripts.Collaborate with QA teams to validate functionality and resolve defects.Ensure smooth release cycles with comprehensive regression testing.6. DevOps, Release Management & Environment Support
Support CI / CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.Maintain version control repositories (Git, Azure DevOps).Assist with environment management across Dev, QA, Training, and Prod.7. Documentation & Compliance
Create technical documents, architectural diagrams, and release notes.Maintain traceability for audits and CCWIS compliance.Provide detailed project updates and analytics to leadership.8. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with BAs, program experts, and technical teams.Support UAT, training, and end-user adoption.🔑 Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in .NET Core / ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, Angular / React / Vue, HTML5 / CSS, REST APIs.Experience supporting or modernizing enterprise web applications.Understanding of CCWIS / SACWIS guidelines and federal data requirements.Strong SQL Server experience (stored procedures, performance tuning).Experience with Azure / AWS, CI / CD pipelines, DevOps tools, automated testing.Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with child welfare systems (SACWIS / CCWIS) or government HHS programs.Knowledge of federal CCWIS modularity & interoperability standards.Background in modernizing legacy .NET, Java, or mainframe systems.Understanding of Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility.Certifications :Azure Developer / Architect.NET certificationsScrum Master
