Job description

We are committed to growing our team of highly skilled, patient-focused nurses.\n\nThe Nurse Residency Program is a full-time, formalized 12-month program, which includes an approximately 6-month blended day and night orientation and monthly residency classes. Upon completing orientation, Nurse Residents will continue to attend monthly residency classes for six months while working a 72-hour night shift position. This period will involve self-scheduling, minimal weekend requirements (two Fridays, two Saturdays, and one Sunday over six weeks), and minimal holiday shifts.\n\nWe are looking for 2025 RN graduates or RNs with less than one year of experience.\n\nThe program includes a blended approach to clinical practice, classroom content, and online learning. The residency program will foster critical thinking skills, prioritization, and time management.\n\nThe Nurse Resident will orient and work on the Inpatient Medical / Surgical unit for 36 hours a week. This position is a blend of nights and days, dependent upon preceptor availability, and needs of the unit once orientation is complete.\n\nWhat we can offer : \n

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice in the State of Nebraska as a Registered Nurse. Current licensure from a compact state requires Nebraska to be declared as their primary state of residence within thirty (30) days and must also obtain a Nebraska temporary permit or nursing license.\n
  • Current BLS required at time of hire.\n
  • ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of employment.\n
