About The Position

Job Title : GI Endoscopy Technician

Experience : 2 years required

License : Current Surgical Technologist Registration, Nursing Assistant Certification or Certified Medical Assistant licensure in the state of Washington required.

Certifications : BLS required.

Must-Have :

• Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, Certified Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant program required.
• Endoscopy / GI lab experience.

Description :

The position is for a GI Endoscopy Technician to work day shifts from Monday to Thursday.

The technician will assist in an outpatient endoscopy setting.

Common procedures include EGD and Colonoscopy.

Experience in prep, procedure, and recovery is essential.

The technician's duties may include circulating and assisting with polyp lift during procedures.

A registered nurse will manage sedation and airway.

The technician will work closely with two endoscopy techs and a licensed practical nurse on-site.

There will be no weekend or holiday shifts, and there is no mandatory call requirement.

Staff will undergo unit-specific orientation to review skills and protocols.

The dress code allows for hospital scrubs or personal scrubs in any color.

Floating to other departments will be preferred for candidates with infusion experience.

The charting system used is EPIC.
