Position Responsibilities :
- perform all nuclear medicine imaging.
- Perform computer acquisition and processing necessary for the display, analysis and interpretation of the patient’s condition
- You will receive radioactive materials, prepare radioactive material doses and maintain radiation records.perform all tasks expected in hot lab area.
- utilize established radiation safety techniques and equipment.
- Perform quality control on all instrumentation in the nuclear medicine department, review data collected and report immediately to the supervisor or radiation safety officer
- Perform dosage administration which includes intravenous and oral, and IV setup as outlined in office policy
- Adherence to the rotational position methodology with a focus on punctuality.
- Assist stress technician / nurse with patient’s setup for stress / chemical stress, and EKJ lead placement during pharmaceutical stress, exercise testing and emergency situations
- Complete all computer and paperwork associated with the nuclear medicine procedure in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide documentation, including electronic forms, that is accurate, legible and complete.
- Adhere to all policies and regulations regarding the safe handling, dispensing, monitoring and disposing of radioactive material
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Comply with all regulatory requirements at state and federal level.
Job Requirements
Education and Licensure :
Associate's Degree (preferred)NMTCB or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (N) ; must maintain currentCertified by State of Texas – MRTCPR / BLS certificationMinimum Experience :
Minimum of one (1) year experience (preferred)Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
