Job Summary :
The Billing Specialist is responsible for the billing and collection of outstanding account balances for commercial, government, and managed care payors. This role requires experience in reading, interpreting, and applying complex payor contract language to expected reimbursement calculations, as well as pursuing all payments due to the organization. The specialist must perform account collection activities using internet resources and professional telephone communication etiquette and compose professional written correspondence with internal and external entities. This is a temporary, remote position with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities :
- Billing and collections of outstanding account balances for commercial, government, and managed care payors.
- Identifying and reporting payor issues to leadership.
- Reading, interpreting, and applying complex payor contract language.
- Performing account collection activities using internet resources.
- Using professional telephone communication etiquette.
- Composing professional written correspondence with internal and external entities.
- Data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications :
3 years of Homecare Billing Experience (Minimum)Experience using BrightreePreferred Skills & Certifications :

Must be willing to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6 : 00 AM and 4 : 30 PM PST.Observed Holidays : New Year's Day, Christmas, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving. Specific timeframes for holiday observance are provided.
