About The Position

- PET Technologist Shift : Will work 5x8hrs, varying start times of 6 : 30am -10am and varying ending times of 3pm -7pm No holidays Is on-call REQ? No Weekend REQ : Unit performs PETCT scans on Saturdays once a month. Maybe required to work 1 Saturday every 4 weeks depending on units needs. Will this traveler float between service lines? No Floating Req to Sister Facilities : No Required / Preferred Years of experience REQ : 1 year First-timers accepted : Yes Trauma Level REQ : Level 1 and II trauma is preferred Equipment / Scanner Exp REQ : Siemens Radiation Badge REQ : Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Certs / Licenses REQUIRED : 1. BLS 2. NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) 3. NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or (CT), 4. SCRQSA(State License) in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography. Misc. Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment, but not guaranteed. Locals Accepted / Local Radius : Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate. Local radius is 60 miles. RTO Restrictions : All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager / unit's needs. Guaranteed Hours : Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility : Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma : Magnet, Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds : 865 Scrub Color : Teal top / Black pants Charting : Epic Parking Cost : Nights and weekends only. Onetime payment of $20 for a parking pass.
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
