Accounting Assistant
We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Accounting Assistant to join our team and support daily financial operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the development of technical proposals, and ensuring the smooth execution of financial campaigns. If you have a strong foundation in bookkeeping and a knack for technical documentation, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate financial data for proposal responses and qualifications packages, ensuring all technical pricing and budget specifications are accurate
Perform technical writing for financial reports, audit responses, and project descriptions to translate complex data into clear documentation
Assist in launching and tracking financial campaigns, such as collections drives or budgeting initiatives, while meeting all administrative milestones
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and preparing documentation for external audits
Provide administrative and creative support to the finance department and executive team
Qualifications
Direct experience with technical writing, financial proposal support, and coordinating project launches
1-2 years of experience in an accounting assistant, bookkeeping, or office support role
Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership to meet tight deadlines
High school diploma or equivalent
