As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide excellent customer service through clear communication. This role allows you to make a positive impact in a dynamic campus setting while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday to Thursday : 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Friday : 9 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and / or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order on campus.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and the perimeter to help to deter inappropriate behavior and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any hazardous conditions, unusual occurrences, and / or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist campus staff, students, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
  • Complete required logs and incident reports accurately and promptly for all security-related activities and incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal leadership and campus administration to address client needs and adapt to changing situations.

  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
