Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Weekender -Days

Job Summary : $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for this position, but Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels such as X-ray Technologist II based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties :

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
• Operates all equipment within the modality proficiently.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology during examinations.
• Assists physicians with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Participates in Quality Assurance / Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
