Job Opportunity : Supply Technician (Inventory Management)
This job opportunity is for a Supply Technician (Inventory Management) within the NJ 108th LRS of the New Jersey Air National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. Responsibilities include centralized inventory management accountable under the guidance of the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO), to include warehouse assets, supply points, readiness spares, and WRM assets at prescribed frequencies. Ensure accurate asset accountability records are maintained. Perform research to resolve all inventory discrepancies. Prepare and publish the master inventory schedule of all categories of property as outlined in Air Force Manuals and Instructions. Provide guidance to other Logistic Readiness sections to ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force and other applicable guidance in inventory management and control. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements include areas of consideration for all New Jersey National Guard members. Additional employment requirements include participation in direct deposit, a probationary period, federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation, and registration for Selective Service for males born after 31 December 1959. You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2-year probation / trial period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency. Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest. Title 32 Dual-Status Positions require a military grade between A1C / E-3 and TSgt / E-6. Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a military unit compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position. Security clearance must be obtained within one year of appointment. General experience and specialized experience are required, including governing supply regulations, conducting extensive searches for required information, reconstructing records for complex supply transactions, and providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.
