Contract Trainer III : Welding Department

SCC - Workforce Readiness Department invites qualified candidates to apply for our pooled Part-time Contract Trainer III : Welding Instructor(s) . Part-time appointments are made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The individual(s) will deliver comprehensive welding instruction, develop and update curriculum materials to align with industry standards and align with the strategic vision and mission of SCC.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback and support for improvement.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the welding program and ensure its effectiveness.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and safety standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students to help them succeed in their welding related careers.
• Maintaining supplies; keeping records of accounts; monitoring welding lab equipment.
• Establishing procedures to ensure a safe learning environment and efficient operation reflective of industry standards.

Ideal candidate(s) will perform instructional classroom and practical hands-on training in the topics below. The candidate will create and deliver training to comply with industry recognized welding procedures and American Welding Society criteria.
