Commercial Underwriter

A company is looking for an Underwriter - Specialty.

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite new commercial business, renewal policies, and endorsements to meet profitability and production objectives

Evaluate individual risks and assist in analyzing agency performance to implement corrective actions as needed

Support the Regional Sales Manager in achieving written premium goals through agency engagement and performance reporting

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Three years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting

Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or related field

Completion of certificate in General Insurance and Associate in Underwriting program

Experience in providing guidance and mentoring support to junior underwriters

Ability to develop customized reports for loss control representatives
