Asset Protection Specialist

Burlington Stores is a nationally recognized retailer of high quality, branded merchandise at everyday low prices, with over 1200 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico and we are in search of an Asset Protection Specialist to be part of our Asset Protection Burlington Response and Investigation Center (BRIC) Team! This is our version of a premier Security Operations Center (SOC) centralized with a flexible business model to help support the organization through timely incident response and follow-up, investigative support, law enforcement collaboration, and detailed analysis of theft, shortage, and safety trends. Our Specialist will play a crucial organizational role by overseeing the store fleet 24 / 7 and executing essential BRIC functions, including Event Intake and Monitoring, Information Management and Communication, Proactive Planning, and Investigative Support. The specialists support large-scale projects, actively monitor for safety concerns that could disrupt operations, and contribute to organizational resilience through security infrastructure oversight and management of third-party guard engagement.

A Day In The Life

• Associate will rotate between 1st shift (7 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.) and 2nd shift (1 : 30 p.m. - 12 : 00 a.m.) and rotates weekends
• Facilitate intake of incident reports from store teams and assess events against established guidance to determine appropriate communication and escalation needs.
• Execute internal and external investigation support. Engage in broad investigative initiatives at the direction of supervisors and managers. Utilize exception-based reporting platform (Secure 5) to identify behaviors contributing to shrink and participate in resulting investigations following BRIC processes. Contribute to external investigation case management, documentation, and investigative follow-up support.
• Vigilant monitoring alarm activity during nighttime hours, promptly respond to incidents, and effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders. Ensure a swift and appropriate response to alarms, minimizing potential risks, and maintain clear communication channels to enhance overall security measures.
• Develop expertise in operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance and security measures during overnight hours. Leverage CCTV systems to remotely audit third party guard adherence to guidelines and post orders.
• Responsible for evaluating and executing overnight emergency guard requests. Collaborate with field partners to ensure the situation is assessed properly and assets are protected if the situation requires immediate action.
