  • Position Overview :
  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMT (Construction Materials Testing) Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow technically and professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
  • Interpret and document test results accurately, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
  • Utilize testing equipment and tools effectively, maintaining their calibration and ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings and present data to engineers and project managers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assist in quality control and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with construction teams and clients to ensure understanding of testing processes and results.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary diploma or certification in construction technology, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred (ACI, NICET, TxDOT).
  • Experience in construction materials testing or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Working Conditions :
  • The role requires both office and fieldwork, with the potential for exposure to various weather conditions and construction environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools up to 50 Lbs. as part of daily duties.
