Job description

We are looking for a high performing catering sales executive for a 5 star hotel in downtown Chicago. The Assistant Director of Catering Sales will oversee and manage catering sales efforts to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Responsibilities include coordinating catering events, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining excellent customer service, and collaborating with the sales and event management teams to plan and execute successful events. The role also involves maintaining client relationships, preparing event proposals, and analyzing market trends to develop effective sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Catering Sales and Sales planning
  • Proficiency in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service principles to ensure client needs are met
  • Experience in Event Management and coordinating successful events
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the hospitality or catering industry is an advantage
