Position Summary

Our LPN's provide nursing care to our residents that promotes and protects the health, safety, and rights of FASNY Firefighter’s Home residents. LPN's are assigned to a unit of with no more than 23 beds and care for residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This opening is for a limited-part-time employee working on the 11 pm to 7 am shift, who will regularly work every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and observing changes in condition.

• Assist physicians and RNs in developing, updating, and carrying out care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports.
• Support and supervise CNAs and other care staff to ensure quality care.
• Educate members and families on health management, prevention, and treatment.
• Ensure safe, clean, and organized work environments.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and safety reporting.
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.

Communicate effectively with members, families, and healthcare team. This role will require the ability to work every other weekend, and some holidays..

Must hold a valid LPN license.
