  • About the Role As the Director of People & Culture, you’ll be a strategic partner to Shelter House’s leadership team.
  • You’ll guide people practices that align with our mission and values, while leading a broad scope of HR functions, from compliance and benefits to talent development and culture-building.

  • How You Will Contribute Strategy & Leadership Advise the CEO and senior leaders on people strategy, organizational design, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Operations & Compliance Lead the People & Culture team in managing employee relations, performance reviews, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Talent Management & Development Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, internal mobility, succession planning, and training initiatives.
  • Culture & Engagement Champion a people-first culture by enhancing employee engagement, wellness, and connection across the organization.
  • Qualifications 7+ years of broad HR experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication and listening skills High integrity and discretion with sensitive information Collaborative, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented Physical Requirements Annual TB test required Ability to sit or stand for long periods Ability to lift 10–20 pounds Salary Range The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000.
