Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Start Date: 5/19 (Pending Credentialing or Temporary Privileges) Schedule: Two weeks on, two weeks off Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM with call coverage

Position Overview:

• Surgical and clinic duties including vein harvesting and first assist for CT surgery

• Clinic census: 2-6 patients per day

• Call census: 4-6 patients per day (varies based on hospital census)

• Work alongside 1 CVT surgeon

• Surgical procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, and vascular cases

Certification Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS

• PA or APRN certification

• Case log verification for vein harvesting (endoscopic or open); endoscopic experience required

Equipment:

• EVH: Maquet (Getinge) Vasoview Hemopro 2

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in CT surgery and vein harvesting required

Candidate Requirements:

• Active NV State License or IMLC

• Flu and Covid vaccinations required (Medical or religious exemptions accepted)

Credentialing:

• Target date: ASAP

• Temporary privileges may be granted for clean candidates
