Location : Bridgeport, Connecticut (06606) – Connecticut nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Healthcare Setting : Level 1 Trauma Center – Operating Room (OR) General Surgery

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 15, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 40

Shift : 8-hour days (6 : 30am – 5 : 00pm); approximately 30% of shifts from 1 : 00pm – 11 : 30pm; occasional weekends required

Call : 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls per 6-week schedule

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2500 - $2560

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience

Level 1 trauma center experience required

Experience in General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho), Urology, ENT, Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation), and GYN surgeries

Specialization in orthopedic surgery, including total knee replacements and total hip replacements (anterior and posterior approach)

Preferred : Previous travel RN experience, EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS EMR experience

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting

Assist with diverse surgical cases : trauma, orthopedics, spine, neuro, plastics, GYN, and robotics

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes

Participate in scheduled call rotation as required

Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Adapt to changing department needs and provide clinical support to colleagues
